The first LAN event of 2010 has been and gone in Woodville, Adelaide. Despite a small turnout, it was evident people are keen and willing to follow the AusHalo circuit with 7 of the 10 teams comprising of interstate talent. The boutique feel actually made for a closeknit event, with jokes shared amongst all.

When the teams got down to business on Saturday in pool play, there were some typical and surprise results. 2XO shocked many with their ad hoc team created only one week prior to the event, beating Fray in pool play. Elsewhere 'Our Heroes Have Died', another last minute team, placed 5th. Pyro and Jim literally decided their 3rd & 4th members the day prior to and at the event.

Elsewhere UtB, a seemingly unknown team, surprised many by placing 4th in pool play and overall with some solid teamwork. Two of their members, SnK and Rolyat coming from Broome to compete! Congratulations also to Techno Wizkids for attending their first ever LAN, Fourdown who looked to dominate most teams and Sabby's Heroes who scrapped together the results with added laughs for style. They showed it doesn't matter if your teammates go -15 and -19 when you win a CTF game 1-0.

During the finals double bracket elimination though, Fray showed they have what it takes to stay number one, beating 2XO convincingly, 3-1 in WB Finals and then an overall score of 6-2. The games weren't walkovers, but the results showed for themselves the difference between a 'random team' and a well established one.
